Everything you need to know about DB PAY and how it works.
Overview
DB PAY is a multicurrency home-banking platform from DB PAY LTD. You hold fiat IBANs and crypto wallets in one Client Zone, send and receive money (including by username, pay link, or QR), exchange assets, and — for businesses — invoice, run OTC/P2P, and connect to DB Investing. Services may be delivered with regulated partners; DB PAY is an MSB intermediary, not a bank.
Individuals, freelancers, and businesses that need borderless accounts, crypto rails, transparent fees, and operational controls. Availability depends on jurisdiction, KYC/AML checks, and partner requirements.
Accounts & onboarding
Individual and business accounts. Business features may include higher limits, SWIFT, maker-checker approvals, and merchant tooling.
Individual is designed for personal use and freelancers. Business unlocks higher limits, SWIFT, priority support, and corporate workflows. Enterprise adds dedicated coverage and custom limits.
Open an account from the Client Zone, verify email/SMS, complete KYC (or KYB for businesses), and fund your first IBAN or wallet once approved.
Typically government ID and proof of address for individuals. Businesses provide incorporation documents, beneficial ownership, and related KYB evidence. We may request updates at any time for AML purposes.
Payments, transfers & settlement
Internal and contact payments are typically instant. Local fiat rails are instant or near-instant when supported. SWIFT and crypto settle according to network and banking cut-offs; compliance holds can add time.
Limits vary by tier, verification status, geography, and risk profile. Your Client Zone shows applicable limits before you confirm.
Business and enterprise workflows support operational approvals and higher-volume payment patterns. Contact us for your use case and corridor needs.
Business invoicing
Yes. Enabled business merchants use the Client Zone merchant desk to create and issue bank-transfer invoices with amount, currency, description, and optional payer name.
When you issue an invoice, DB PAY creates a public tokenized pay page (/pay/invoice/…). Share that link with your client. They pay by bank transfer using the structured INV reference — without logging into your account.
At invoice creation you choose Keep fiat or Auto-convert to USDC. If auto-convert is selected, after inbound fiat clears and reconciles, DB PAY runs the conversion and credits your USDC wallet, with the conversion fee reflected in the ledger.
Currencies, crypto & exchange
Supported corridors include major fiat IBANs (such as AED/USD/EUR where available) and major crypto assets via custodial partners. Exact assets and networks depend on eligibility and partner availability.
You request a quote, see rate and fees with a time-to-live, then confirm. Settlement uses DB PAY ledgers and partner venues/custody. OTC RFQs are handled by the desk for larger tickets.
Yes in the current platform: managed crypto wallets/addresses with custody partners. Self-custody is not the default model for the Client Zone vaults.
P2P exchange
It is a custodial peer marketplace. Approved merchants publish BUY/SELL ads pre-funded from their wallets. When you open a trade, both crypto and fiat lock into escrow; on approval the ledger settles instantly between wallets.
Dual-leg escrow, a 15-minute trade timer with automatic release, verified/ACTIVE counterparties, AML risk gates, in-trade chat, and CRM dispute / stuck-escrow controls.
Yes. Apply from Client Zone. Merchants stay pending until approved, then can activate ads and provide liquidity on the marketplace.
Security & compliance
DB PAY LTD is registered in British Columbia, Canada (No. BC1354413) and with FINTRAC as an MSB (M22286159). We operate AML/ATF, sanctions screening, KYC/KYB, and reporting controls. Balances are not CDIC-insured.
We use MFA, step-up authentication, encrypted secrets, access controls, partner custody for digital assets, and an append-only audit trail in operations. You must also protect your devices and credentials.
Pricing & fees
Monthly plans start at $3 for individuals and $25 for business, with enterprise custom pricing. Transfer and FX fees vary by rail and tier — see the Pricing page. All fees are shown before confirmation.
DB Investing integration
You can link DB Investing by email and fund trading accounts via banking rails. The products remain under separate entities and licenses.
Internal movements are designed for fast 24/7 transfer where supported, subject to verification, limits, and rail availability.
